LEARN IN PRIVATE SESSIONS IN THE RECORDING STUDIO

For almost 30 years, we have been placing students into real recording studios as STUDENT APPRENTICES (not as interns), learning the skills of audio recording directly from real music professionals. Once accepted into our Audio Program, you will attend class inside a renowned recording studio, following our structured course curriculum in audio engineering and music production under the direct private supervision of your Mentor.

All instruction happens one-on-one, and class times are flexible according to your schedule.

HOW FREQUENTLY WILL I GO TO THE STUDIO?

The short answer: twice a week to start. If you demonstrate a good work ethic and good study habits over the first four weeks, you will be allowed to go to the studio more frequently, if you desire. You determine your own pace, according to your schedule and desire.

WHAT EXACTLY WILL I BE LEARNING?

You will cover one lesson module every week for a period of 6 months. Each lesson involves assigned homework and one-on-one instruction by your mentor on studio equipment. In this manner, you benefit not only from our curriculum, but also from your mentor’s many years of experience. Click here to see a full outline of our curriculum.

NO OTHER audio school on the globe can promise the following:

  • Learn in a real recording studio
  • Learn in private sessions (one student to one teacher)
  • Learn from a Music Producer or Audio Engineer with 10-30 years of proven experience in the music industry.
  • Sit in on actual recording sessions
  • Learn from a structured course curriculum

IS THIS FOR REAL?

Will we really get you into an actual recording studio for one-on-one training? YES.

Why do we do this? Because contrary to common belief, traditional audio trade schools simply aren’t the best way to get an education in the field of audio recording. Experts the world over concur that the best place to learn these skills is inside a recording studio, under the tutelage of an experienced mentor. ARE YOU REALLY THE ONLY SCHOOL THAT PUTS STUDENTS INTO RECORDING STUDIOS? DON’T OTHER SCHOOLS DO THE SAME?

Good question, with a simple answer: A trade school recording studio is not the same as one in the real world. While many audio schools do have “recording studios” on campus, and while these studios may look pretty, basically classrooms that simulate recording studios, and you won’t find professionals like Dr. Dre, Eminem, U2, or Beyonce recording there. The only people you’ll usually find working in these studio simulations are teachers and other recording students.

Make no mistake about this: the only way for you to learn the inner workings of real-life audio engineering and music production is to apprentice in a real recording studio, not a simulated one. That’s exactly why the Recording Connection Audio Institute puts you in a real studio!

With the RECORDING CONNECTION AUDIO INSTITUTE, you are placed in a real recording studio from the very first day of your training, not as an intern but as an APPRENTICE. What’s the difference?
Apprentices receive on-on-one instruction and training, while interns run errands. Our student apprentices follow a structured course curriculum under the personal supervision and instruction of a seasoned working industry professional. As an apprentice, you get the opportunity to learn the arts of recording and audio engineering while simultaneously putting in the studio time and making the industry connections you need for advancing your career.

Other audio schools will promise to place you in a real recording studio after you graduate. However, please take note: If you are one of the lucky ones who manages to get into one of these recording studios, you role there will be as an INTERN, not as an APPRENTICE. (Why spend all that money on school, only to be an unpaid intern afterward, when with Recording Connection you can learn the trade and “pay your dues” all at once, and possibly even get hired before you graduate?)

Time to Decide

It’s decision time. Would you rather go to the school recommended by recording professionals who have worked with Eminem, Dr. Dre, U2, Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, Method Man, Alice in Chains, Norah Jones,, Ludacris, Guns N Roses, Jane’s Addiction, Wyclef Jean, Madonna, Joni Mitchell, Tupac, Travis Tritt, Pink, Outkast, Timbaland, Motley Crue, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Santana, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Robert Plant, B.B. King, Lenny Kravitz, and many others?

– OR –

Would you rather attend a typical overpriced, irrelevant, ineffective recording school not recommended by the pros?
With The Recording Connection Audio Institute, not only you will be going to go to the school recommended by professionals the world over—you’ll be learning from the pros, as well!

“It isn’t just what you know, but who you know.” Nowhere is this statement more accurate than in the music business. Forming a relationship with a Music Producer or Audio Engineer as a student apprentice is an ideal way to make music industry connections while completing your education—and that’s why we do it this way!
